Antique Poster

A typical antique poster is quite old, compared with most vintage prints. Most vintage posters are generally less than 50 years old. However, an antique print can be significantly older than that.

The antique poster is a highly collectible item. Many of these date to the World War I era and before, and often are patriotic in nature. Others can be found ranging from advertisements to magazine covers.

Because they are often quite old, finding an antique poster in pristine condition is nearly impossible. However, many people find the “worn” nature of these posters to be one of their most charming attributes. Many collectors choose to frame these posters behind glass in order to keep them from further deterioration.
