Vintage Art Posters FAQs

What is a lithograph print?

I lithograph is an authorized reproduction of a piece of art, usually created by the artist directly, or through a second-hand source. They exhibit much of the detail of the original, but are much less expensive to own.

What is the difference between a vintage poster and an antique poster?

The line between a vintage and an antique poster is blurry, at best. As a general rule, antique posters are those that are more than 50-60 years old. Vintage is usually considered to be those made between the 1950’s and the 1980’s.

Where can I find lithograph prints?

Lithographs can be found through local print retailers. However, in most cases one has to purchase them through either a gallery or from the artist directly.
